Marry Me

Good morning and happy Sunday! A few minutes ago, I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and I saw a lot of things having to do with football. I thought it was strange. It turns out that today is the Super Bowl.

If you are like me and you both don’t care about football nor pay attention to it, then I recommend checking out “Marry Me” today on Peacock. I also recommend football fans watch this film at some point when they are not watching a game.

This is a refreshing rom-com that contains fairy tale elements without being cheesy, has a couple that has chemistry but reacts more realistically, and has romantic and joyful moments while leaving behind predictability. This film was also less naughty than I expected it to be and had a lot of family elements.

I wouldn’t call this a big screen movie, which is why I am so grateful that peacock is streaming it for premium subscribers. Basically, you can either pay $5-10 to watch this and other things as many times as you want for one month, or you can pay around $10 to see this film once on the big screen. Yes the the sets are fun, the lighting is good, and the film is entertaining, but there are no elements of this film that would be enhanced by watching it on the big screen. Therefore subscribing to a channel for one month is the cheapest and probably wisest option.

I know Valentine’s Day is near (be on the lookout for my recommendations), and this is a rom com that I could see being a feel good film for all people, regardless of relationship status.

This film was surprisingly good and exceeded my expectations.
