Fahrenheit 451

Taking an intermission from #JamesBondJanuary to present you with the film I hope to never stop processing. Granted, I know that this was a book first and that millions of people have read it, and thank goodness for that. I have personally never read the book, but I think the visualization that movie presents must be equally powerful to the words written on the page.
There are so many reasons this movie is important, none of which I plan on giving away in my review.
This review is going to be short for the reason that I think every person should see this movie at least once (because that’s all it takes). There are some relevant themes in this film to today’s society, and it is haunting in that regard. This is the kind of thriller that does not have the typical scary images common with the genre, but images that shock our souls with a dystopian reality that has occurred in different aspects of our history.
In the midst of my current reflections, I cannot help but feel insanely grateful for every movie I have seen, book I’ve read, piece of music I’ve listened to or performed, and every word I have ever personally written whether I liked it (or agreed with it) or not. The ability to think, assess, discern, and believe is such a gift and a privilege still limited for some people around the world.
Whenever you get the chance, utilize your privileges and watch the movie or read the book. Even if you choose not to watch this film anytime soon, take a moment to thank the Lord for all the freedoms you have and the resources you have access to.
